Cyrus has always had a passion for sport and fitness. From an early age he was competitive in football, rugby, athletics and golf. Having had success in Athletics and Rugby at Scottish school levels, it was football where he excelled the most. Being involved in the Hearts FC youth academy and Cowdenbeath FC youth academy through his teenage years, Cyrus was involved in winning the youth Scottish cup under 17s tournament with Cowdenbeath FC. Cyrus made the decision to go to university at the age of 18 where he studied a business management and accounting degree. During his time at Edinburgh university he played for the first football team where he enjoyed a successful career. As a striker, Cyrus was top goalscorer for his team a number of times. This led him to be involved in the Scottish University squad that won the British University Championship in 2012. After completing university with an honours degree, Cyrus was scouted to for East Fife FC who played in the second tier of Scottish football. Cyrus had a number of appearances for the club that lasted over two seasons. Unfortunately, Cyrus was forced to halt his football career in 2015 after numerous injuries to his right knee. Since leaving football, Cyrus has found a true passion in the gym. This led him to become level 3 personal trainer qualified. Cyrus is currently in the process of setting up a personal training company online in order to deliver a bespoke service to customers that are seeking personal training and nutritional advice in order to achieve their ideal physiques. Cyrus has also worked in property renovation since leaving professional football. His experience in the property market within Scotland is proving useful towards his longer term plan of eventually having his own boutique fitness studio running HIIT classes.
